Rear Window "Transparent qualifications in the engineering sector" is one of the pilot projects approved in the ambit of the Leonardo da Vinci EU Programme. The project involves Ial Emilia Romagna (Italy), which plays the role of project leader, and 6 other partners representing 5 European countries: BEST Training (Austria), KTP (Czech Republic), Fundación Red Andalucía Emprende (Spain), CEDIT (Italy), ANUP and CNFPA (Romania).

The project has a duration of 24 months (from October 2006 to September 2008); it has 2 main objects:

  • creating tools and instruments directed to the comparison of the national/regional qualification system in the engineering area of the countries involved
  • creating and testing a device (procedures, tools and instruments) for the transparency and validation of the competences (inherent in the engineering area) acquired in non-formal and informal contexts.
