CNFPA - Consiliul National de Formare Profesionala a Adultilor
CNFPA was established in 1999 as an autonomous administrative authority with a tripartite structure. The Board of CNFPA consists of representatives of the Government, Employers' Confederations and Trade Unions.
CNFPA has a consultative role in the development of strategies and policies in the CVT field.
CNFPA has also decisional attributions consisting of:
- coordination, at national level, of the accreditation of the CVT providers, through 42 local accreditation commissions;
- approval of occupational standards;
- accreditation of competences assessment centres.
From 2005, CNFPA has played the role of the National Authority for Qualifications in Romania. In this respect, CNFPA coordinates the activity of 23 Sectoral Committees whose main responsibility consists of development, updating and validation of qualifications.
